If you’ve been following along, you may remember in an earlier post mention of Rugby and Rumor not getting along. As much as I would love to say my dogs all get along great and everything is peace and rainbows in my house, it’s not. Rugby can be a bit of a control freak (read bully) and Rumor doesn’t appropriately give or read signals a majority of the time. The two just don’t mix. Which means my house has some unique rules. Crate and rotate, a house divided and muzzles are all tools used daily to keep everyone safe.

Muzzles give me piece of mind. They reduce my anxiety and worry, which in turn means my dogs are more relaxed. The more relaxed they are, the less likely there are to be incidents. Having dogs that don’t get along takes a lot of management so anything that helps keep the peace is 100% worth it.

Muzzles also keep either of them from making poor decisions when they get over aroused and keep everyone safe in the event they make a poor choice. Without muzzles the boys would never be able to be out together, but with them they’re able to co-exist more or less. Always under a watchful eye but coexist nonetheless.
