Technically these aren’t paw prints BUT they started as paw prints. I made these organ meet frozen paw prints as an easy way to get my boys to organ they needed without worrying about the thawed leftovers going bad in the fridge. This way I could make up a big batch of these batboys (5-6 lbs worth) and toss them into nightly meals without any fuss. Unfortunately given how much organ meat each of the boys needs, they were getting 4-8 paw prints each night and we were flying through the small paw prints. Which is why I switched to silicone cupcake molds! Seriously LOVE these. It makes the same net amount but is much less labor intensive on the front end. For meals Ryder and Rugby get one frozen cupcake of ground organ blend and Rumor gets two. SO EASY!

The silicone cupcakes molds are from Amazon.com and came in a pack of 54 but only about 36 could fit on the tray at a time so the remainder were left unused.

This time I used a ground turkey organ mix that includes liver, heart, and gizzards from Oma’s Pride, but I’ve also used chicken organ mix and beef organ mix in the paw prints and they all worked great.

Each of these little bad boys weighs about 2oz. I adjusted up because heart and gizzards aren’t considered organ meat. I used my tried and true method of thawing in the packaging, snipping a corner, and squeezing in! Easy as can be. It’s not saying much because they love pretty much anything edible but the boys love these.
